A follower of the radical Islamist cleric Anjem Choudary has been charged with sex offences in connection with attempts to groom a teenage girl over the internet.
Mansoor Miah, 21, of Swiss Cottage, north London, was arrested in June after the mother of a 15-year-old girl contacted police, concerned about her daughter’s online interaction with a man.
Fears about the girl’s internet activity had been raised at her school, which alerted her mother.
